The Drone HV 2.0 retains the digging performance and high-friction rubber of previous Drone series models, and uniquely molded heel cup from previous models, while improving durability and fit. The seamless, three-dimensional molded rubber parts prevent peeling caused by long-term use, reduce discomfort, and represent the culmination of the technology Mudlock has honed over many years. The combination of a 3D-molded toe box and heel cup made from Science Friction Rubber 3.0—which offers
high friction, durability, and just the right hardness—is a unique feature not found in products from other manufacturers. The entire shoe, from toe to heel, is encased in 3D-molded rubber.
Furthermore, the rubber parts—including the sole, rand, and heel—are seamless, and their continuous three-dimensional shape conforms perfectly to the foot’s contours, delivering supreme comfort, exceptional foot-to-surface feel, and optimal power transfer. These climbing shoes represent the next generation, capable of fully demonstrating their capabilities not only
indoors but also outdoors.
Despite this level of performance, the fact that the price is kept lower than that of other manufacturers is a welcome benefit for consumers. This is a pair that offers excellent value for the money.
*Regarding sizing
Climbing shoes vary in shape—including foot shape and whether they have a down-toe design—not only between manufacturers but also among different models from the same manufacturer. Due to the nature of climbing shoes, which are designed to be worn snugly enough to allow the toes to curl in order to efficiently transfer power from the toes, even slight differences in size or shape can significantly affect the fit.
Therefore, if possible, we recommend trying them on in person at a store to check the fit before purchasing.
Also, if you are purchasing climbing shoes for the first time, we suggest trying on a size similar to the size of the sneakers you usually wear (your actual foot length plus 0.5–1 cm).
Please treat the size specifications in centimeters as a general guideline only, and take the time to find the climbing shoes that fit you best.
