These climbing shoes are versatile enough to be used anywhere from the gym to the crag, and they’re suitable for climbers of all levels—from beginners to experts—offering a unique feel you won’t find with other brands. They feature an

all-black color scheme, a wide toe box, and a single-strap Velcro closure.

True to the manufacturer’s concept—“Climbing shoes by Japanese, for Japanese”—they offer an exceptional fit that you won’t find with other international brands. They may feel a bit stiff at first, but they’ll stretch and soften considerably with continued use.

The more you wear them, the more the S-01 customizes to your feet and develops character. They’re ideal for building the fundamental strength and technique that form the foundation of climbing, making them recommended not only as training shoes for intermediate and advanced climbers but also as a first pair for beginners.

*Regarding sizing

: Climbing shoes vary in shape (foot shape, presence of a down-toe, etc.) not only between manufacturers but also between models from the same manufacturer.Due to the nature of climbing shoes—which are designed to be worn snugly enough to allow your toes to curl in order to efficiently transfer power from your toes—even slight differences in size or shape can significantly affect the fit.

Therefore, we recommend trying them on in person at a store, if possible, to check the fit before purchasing.

Additionally, if you’re buying climbing shoes for the first time, we suggest trying on a size similar to the size of the sneakers you usually wear (your actual foot length plus 0.5–1 cm).
